DAY 1 : FEZ – IFRANE – AZROU – MIDELT
Your 6 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech begins with an early departure from your hotel. Our first stop is the charming town of Ifrane, often called “Little Moroccan Switzerland” for its alpine-style houses, wide boulevards, and clean parks. Next, we head to the cedar forests of Azrou home to towering ancient trees and curious wild monkeys. After soaking in the scenery, we continue to Midelt for a relaxing lunch break before checking in at your hotel for the night.
DAY 2 : MIDELT – ZIZ VALLEY – MERZOUGA
After breakfast, your 6 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech continues through the scenic Ziz Valley toward the golden dunes of Merzouga. On the way, we’ll pass Erfoud, a town known for its fossil workshops and sweet date palms. Later in the day, enjoy an unforgettable camel ride into the heart of Erg Chebbi, where you’ll be surrounded by the peaceful silence of the Sahara desert.
DAY 3 : MERZOUGA – DESERT TOUR IN 4X4 – CAMEL RIDE – NIGHT IN THE DESERT
After breakfast, your 6 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech continues with a 4×4 adventure through the vast dunes near the Algerian border. You’ll stop for photos, see black volcanic rocks, and visit a nomad family to learn about their way of life. Along the way, pass small Berber villages like Tamrdanite before reaching Khamlia, where you’ll enjoy a live performance of traditional Gnawa music. On the return, admire the view of Ait Sareji Lake especially stunning in spring when it’s home to flamingos and other birds. Tonight, relax at a hotel next to the Erg Chebbi dunes.
DAY 4 : ERG CHEBBI – THE GORGES OF TOUDRA
We’ll start the day early to catch the stunning sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, you’ll ride camels back to meet your driver. On the way to Todra Gorges, we’ll stop in Rissani to explore its traditional souk the largest in southern Morocco. Then we continue to the dramatic Todra Gorges, where you’ll spend the night at a hotel nestled in the canyon.
DAY 5 : TOUDRA GORGES – DADES GORGES – SKOURA OASIS – OUARZAZATE
After breakfast, enjoy a short walk through the Todra Gorges. Then we head toward the scenic Dades and Rose Valleys. In the Skoura Oasis, we’ll visit the 700-year-old Kasbah Amridil one of the most iconic kasbahs in southern Morocco. Our journey continues to Ouarzazate, where you’ll explore the historic Taourirt Kasbah and Cinema Museum before settling in at your hotel.
DAY 6 : OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU UNESCO KASBAH – MARRAKECH
After breakfast, we visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO site and film location for movies like Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven. Then we drive through the stunning High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’Tichka Pass. Along the way, we pass several Berber villages and farms before arriving in Marrakech marking the end of your unforgettable Fes to Marrakech desert tour.
